For years, Michael Flanagan has handled wrongful death and personal injury cases in Miami against some of the largest companies in the world. At 29, Michael became a Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Top Trial Lawyers in America. By the age of 30, he had the distinction of obtaining a multi-million dollar settlement in an individual personal injury lawsuit. It is believed that he is one of the youngest lawyers in the country to have obtained a multi-million dollar settlement for a single-event personal injury case as lead counsel.

The following year, in 2016, Flanagan obtained a larger mutli-million dollar settlement of $5.2 million. In 2017, he obtained another multi-million dollar result of $2 million for a victim of medical malpractice.

Flanagan has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star, a distinction awarded to less than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the United States. Moreover, in 2014, he was inducted into the Daily Business Review Florida Verdicts Hall of Fame for his work with Goldberg & Rosen, P.A. in obtaining a $35 million judgement in a wrongful death case. Most recently, Flanagan was named “Top 40 Under 40” by the National Trial Lawyers Association.

Michael was born and raised in New York. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeastern University, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Lambda Honors and Leadership Society.

Michael graduated from the University of Miami School of Law where he was nominated to serve as Attorney General of the Student Bar Association for two consecutive years. He was also elected to serve as clerk of the University of Miami School of Law chapter of the Phi Delta Phi International Honors and Leadership Fraternity. Moreover, Flanagan was selected by the faculty and administration as a recipient of the prestigious, Who’s-Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities Award.

At the University of Miami School of Law, Michael also earned the Dean’s Certificate for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Alternative Dispute Resolution and earned Honors in Maritime Personal Injury Law. Michael has also worked with the Law Offices of the Public Defender for the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida representing children facing life in prison without the possibility of parole.
