As the two men were outside their vehicles, a Tesla occupied by five people approached the crash scene.

Troopers say the Tesla, driven by a 20-year-old Naples man, collided with the underside of the overturned box truck and struck Jonathan Garcia Arias.

Three Lives Lost in the Collision

• An 18-year-old passenger in the Tesla was pronounced dead at the scene
• A 19-year-old passenger in the Tesla was pronounced dead at the scene

The driver of the box truck sustained only minor injuries.
