Three people were injured, including two trauma patients, following a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning near the Indian River Mall in Vero Beach, according to Indian River County Fire Rescue.
The collision temporarily closed part of State Road 60 while emergency crews treated victims and investigated the crash.

According to Indian River County Fire Rescue, the crash occurred on July 9, 2026, along State Road 60 near Heldon Place, outside the Indian River Mall.
Emergency responders from Indian River County Fire Rescue and the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene shortly after the collision.

- Two vehicles were involved in the crash.
- Three people were injured.
- Two patients were classified as trauma alerts.
- A pediatric trauma patient was airlifted from a nearby landing zone.
- Two additional patients were transported by ground ambulance to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital.
Witnesses at the scene reported hearing a loud crash before seeing one of the vehicles overturned on its roof.
