According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 12:30 a.m. on May 13, 2026, near Exit 76 at Blue Heron Boulevard.

- The teen was driving a Nissan Altima northbound on I-95

- The vehicle came to rest disabled in the roadway

- She was leaning into the back seat when a BMW X3 collided with the disabled car

- The driver of the BMW, a 21-year-old man from Jupiter, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital
