A devastating multi-vehicle crash in Dania Beach claimed one life and left six others injured Saturday evening after a vehicle lost control, crossed the median, and collided head-on with an oncoming SUV, according to Broward Sheriff’s Office officials.

The deadly collision, captured on surveillance video, remains under investigation as authorities work to determine what caused the driver to lose control.

What We Know About the Crash

According to Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue, the crash occurred on the evening of July 4, 2026, along East Dania Beach Boulevard near Southeast Second Avenue in Dania Beach.

Investigators reported that:

• A white BMW convertible was traveling along East Dania Beach Boulevard.
• The BMW lost control for reasons that have not yet been determined.
• The vehicle crossed the center median.
• It struck a roadside sign before colliding head-on with a Mercedes-Benz traveling in the opposite direction.
