The collision remains under investigation.

- Alcohol was not believed to have contributed to the crash.
- The investigation remains ongoing.
Investigators continue reviewing evidence and witness statements to determine all contributing factors.
Left-Turn and Crossing Accidents Are Common Causes of Motorcycle Fatalities
Many serious motorcycle crashes occur when another vehicle enters or crosses a rider’s path.
These collisions often happen when:
- Drivers misjudge the speed of an approaching motorcycle.
- Visibility is limited.
- Drivers fail to yield the right-of-way.
- Motorcycles are overlooked in traffic.
Because motorcycles are smaller than passenger vehicles, they can be more difficult for drivers to detect, particularly at busy intersections.
The Human Impact of Motorcycle Crashes
Motorcyclists face significantly greater risks than occupants of passenger vehicles because they lack the protective structure of a car or truck.
Even when riders wear helmets and protective gear, crashes can result in catastrophic injuries or death.
The loss of a young rider is a tragedy that affects family members, friends, coworkers, and the broader community.
Investigation Continues
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Additional information may become available as investigators complete their review of the crash scene and available evidence.
