A 66-year-old Lehigh Acres man was killed Wednesday afternoon after his pickup truck veered across Six Mile Cypress Parkway, became airborne and overturned in Lee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers are investigating whether the driver may have experienced a medical emergency before the crash.

The crash occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on August 12, 2026, on Six Mile Cypress Parkway east of Six Mile Crossing Boulevard, near U.S. 41.

According to FHP, the 66-year-old man was driving a 2020 Chevrolet eastbound when the vehicle unexpectedly traveled to the left.

Troopers reported that the pickup:
