45-Year-Old Man Dies After Shooting at Ocala Convenience Store, Police Say

A 45-year-old man has died after being shot at an Ocala convenience store Tuesday, according to the Ocala Police Department.

The shooting occurred at King’s Food Mart near Southwest Fort King Street and Martin Luther King Avenue. Police said a suspect has since been arrested in connection with the deadly shooting.

Ocala police responded to King’s Food Mart on August 11, 2026, following reports of a shooting.

Officers found a 45-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment, but he later died from his injuries.
