16-Year-Old Driver Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash on Alternate A1A in Jupiter
A tragic three-vehicle collision in Jupiter claimed the life of a 16-year-old driver Tuesday evening, according to the Jupiter Police Department (JPD). The crash occurred along Alternate A1A near Admirals Cove Boulevard, resulting in extended road closures and serious injuries to another motorist.
Authorities reported that the crash happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. on January 7. The collision involved three vehicles and prompted the closure of the northbound lanes of Alternate A1A for several hours as first responders and investigators worked the scene.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue pronounced the 16-year-old driver dead at the scene. Another driver involved in the crash sustained critical injuries and was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment. A third driver suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene.
All lanes of Alternate A1A have since reopened.
