Nicole Perez is a personal injury trial lawyer with the firm. Nicole handles personal injury and wrongful death cases in Florida’s state and federal courts. She has successfully handled truck crashes, car crashes, motorcycle crashes, wrongful death, and insurance bad faith cases for her clients throughout the state of Florida. Upon becoming a personal injury attorney, Nicole had almost immediate success, earning her clients over $2 million in settlements, including one seven-figure settlement, in her first two months with the firm.
Prior to joining the firm, Nicole served as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County under Katherine Fernandez-Rundle. During that time, she tried over 20 jury trials and 50 bench trials. Nicole quickly rose through the State Attorney’s Office and prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases, including attempted murder, armed carjacking/robbery, aggravated battery, sexual battery, theft, DUI, and narcotics trafficking. Nicole understands first-hand the importance of fighting for victims and is passionate about representing individuals who have been seriously injured by the negligent actions of others.
Since leaving the State Attorney’s Office, Nicole worked for a prominent Miami law firm that exclusively handled complex family law cases. Nicole was actively involved in all aspects of the firm’s cases including trials, hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences. Nicole is sensitive to the needs of each client and is committed to attaining exceptional results.
Nicole was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida, where she earned both a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. At the University of Florida, Nicole was actively involved in the College of Journalism and Communications, where she was a journalist for a television station, WUFT- PBS Member Station, and for two radio stations, WUFT- Mid Florida Public Radio (NPR) and AM 850- News and Sports.
After graduation, Nicole attended St. Thomas University School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor. During law school, Nicole was honored with the Advanced Legal Writing Book Award and served as a teaching assistant for the legal writing course. Furthermore, Nicole served as a member and mentor on the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review, while focusing on a topic of the utmost importance to her, victim’s rights. Nicole also served as a Certified Legal Intern in the Criminal Appeals Unit of the Florida Attorney General in Miami, where she researched and drafted appellate briefs for the Florida Third District Court of Appeal.
